About New Build Energy Assessment

All newly constructed residential properties in the UK require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before they are sold or let.

On Construction Domestic Energy Assessors (OCDEAs) have the skills and knowledge to complete energy efficiency calculations using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) software before and after construction. This in turn  results in the production of an EPC.

The SAP calculation process is desk based and requires a set of drawings (including: plans, elevations & sections) and a building specification which details the building elements and information regarding the heating and ventilation systems.
